The Arc de Triomphe - l'Etoile

A colossal monument, that's the impression one gets from seeing him around!
It seems rather small when seen from the Place de La Concorde, located at the opposite end of the famous Champs-Élysées.
To you to judge numbers:
  • 55 meters high (almost like a palace of 18 floors!);
  • 45 meters wide;
  • 2.2 km from Place de la Concorde;
Built by Napoleon I to the day after the battle of Asterlitz is located in a fairly peripheral to the heart of Paris, the center of a large roundabout where fewer than 12 major roads converge, and for this reason called the 'Etoile (from can be distinguished in red on the road, just a giant star to 12 points).

The Stade de France, the tour

Is it possible to visit the Stade de France? Certamente!! Certainly! And the visit organized not only limited to the stands or field of play but also to all the hidden parts and usually inaccessible to the simple result of the hundreds of events that take place here.
Here the numbers:
  • 81,338 spectators in configuration football / rugby;
  • 70,000 spectators at athletic configuration;
  • 1998 the year of opening;
  • 46 meters height at which it has great coverage;
  • € 346 million development cost (excluding fees).

To get there, as well as numerous bus lines that have their stop a few feet away, you can make good use of the RER line B and get off at La Plaine-Stade de France, but this is just 800 meters from the stadium and it is therefore

The Eiffel Tower from the Sacre-Coeur, where is it?

The typical application crowned with amazement of those who reach the terrace of Paris (the Butte de Montmartre) is:
But where is the Eiffel Tower??? :-O :-O
Well, the tower has not been stolen, they have not moved as she reaches the Basilica, but Paris is at our feet. But even though you are on the highest point of the city (without having to climb up a building) just do not see, it seems absurd!
Simply there are trees and buildings that lie Montmartre!
To see it from here you must remove a few dozen yards down the street:
When you are on the road between the two panoramic terraces, or at the Rue du Cardinal Dubois, head to the funicular and walk along the sidewalk after less than 100 meters (almost at the corner, and where the street changes name to Rue Saint-ELEUTHERE) You can find chinks between the railings, trees and buildings through which the tower will magically visible! ( SEE MAP )

From here you can sbizarrirvi to make many beautiful photos, very beautiful as you have rooftops and trees for use as natural settings.

Needless to say, for a better view of the whole of Paris (and also here, including the Eiffel Tower) you can climb the dome of the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur.

The Montmartre Funicular

Managed by the RATP (like all other means of collective public transport in Paris) that allows r funicular effortlessly add the Butte de Montmartre (the top of the hill where the basilica of Sacre-Coeur) from the lower part of the garden located its Pandico: Place Saint-Pierre thus links (below) to Rue du Cardinal Dubois (top). LOOK AT THE MAP.

Some numbers:
  • 108 meters away from a station stop and the other;
  • 1900 the year of the inauguration (it worked for Water !!!!!:-o ... incredible but true!)
  • 2 cabins (one goes down and the other salt);
  • 6,000 passengers per day;
  • 36 meters in altitude between the two stations;
  • 1:30 minutes is enough time to make the journey;
  • 06:00 to 00:45 hours of continuous operation;
  • 35.2% the slope of the track;
  • 60 people with the capacity of each cabin.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire

The CIUP is a 'French association which provides accommodation to foreign students and researchers studying in the' Ile de France. It 's a perfect place then for those who come here in Paris, Erasmus, but you must register and apply for candidacy to get an accommodation here long before you leave.
A bit 'of numbers to better understand:
  • 5,600 beds;
  • 141 nationalities;
  • 200,000 students will be hosted in its 80 year history;
  • 34 acres for expansion;
  • 40 maisons (including 2 outside the Cité).
I can assure you that even if you are not students or researchers who seek a residence in Paris, this beautiful town is an ideal place to make a funny walk. The Cité Universitaire Intrenationale is in fact based within a large landscaped park, and as unique and special, every nation here has its foundation built his Maison with its typical architectural style.
