Bad weather in Paris -December 4 2010- 20% of flights canceled

Because of the snow today December 4, 2010 there will be major inconvenience for passengers who will use the Paris airports (fortunately, however, their closure is not impeded by severe weather situation). The 'French Civil Aviation Authority has asked all airlines to cancel 20% of their flights to Paris.
To help dispose of the accumulation of traffic in the three Paris airports, there is still the strike of staff of air traffic between yesterday and today is affecting Spain.
  • At the airports of Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) accumulated in the hardships these days are added to those of today, so for today is expected to average about 40 minutes in delays at Charles de Gaulle, and 15 minutes at Orly. So for passengers flying with major airlines, including Air France and Alitalia, it is recommended to check the status of their flights on the airline's own site to avoid discomfort.
  • In Beauvais-Tille (BVA) instead of the lowest air traffic allows a lower accumulation of delays for flights Ryanair, but they are likely to also canceled or delayed because of bad weather that is raging simultaneously on a number of Italian cities. Also with regard to Ryanair's passengers are invited to check the status of their flights on the website of the company.
Snow is expected throughout the day today so weak between 10:00 and 16:00. The snowfall today will be followed by rain and snow at times up to the day on Sunday.
If your flight is canceled you have the opportunity to rebook another success for free, or you can choose to receive reimbursement of expenses incurred.
In case of delays of more than 2 hours, ask (not wait for them to help) at the offices of the airport on the support and benefits available to you.

Weather in Paris -December 3 2010- We go back to normal

Today, December 3 2010 traffic begins to resume its normal business activities.

  • At the Beauvais-Tillé airport the situation is considerably improved. The only Ryanair and Wizzair flights canceled are those whose deztinazioni are in northern Europe, where weather conditions are worse (many airports closed because of snow abbontante that causes the inability to land).
Today, the snow will leave the space at the rain that will increase a bit 'temperatures, while tomorrow the snow on December 4 will again seen in the city of Paris for a few hours during the late morning.

Bad weather and Snow in Paris -December 2010- almost Normal Situation

Despite the snowfall in this period of late November-early December, the situation of flights at airports in Paris (France) remains fairly good.

  • At the airport of Beauvais-Tillé are numerous cancellations, but not directly caused by the snow falling on the airport in Paris. In fact, the cancellations are coming from and departing to destinations most affected by bad weather (Northern Europe). So for those from Italy with Ryanair to land at Beauvais there should be no great risks, if not some minor inconvenience due to the chaos in the terminal for stranded passengers, and the delays from other flights. In any case, you should check the website of Ryanair or Wizzair the status of your flight.
  • in the airports of Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, where planes land Airfrance, Easyjet and Alitalia, air traffic is much more disturbed because of the weather. Look at the flight info on the website of the Paris airports or directly on the website of your airline. Long delays (even a couple of hours) can be expected on many planes coming into and leaving the Italian cities.

    This situation is repeated on December 1 and December 2 today, but it can still continue during the next days of the week that is expected to snow and fog in the Paris region and the rest of France. The French Civil Aviation Authority has also requested the cancellation of about 25% of flights at airports in Paris to better manage air traffic. Fortunately, there are few canceled flights involving connections Paris-Italy.

    The price of this direct service is € 6.60.

    How to Reach the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport

    There are many ways to achieve the 'Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport where they land most of Alitalia, Air France and EasyJet.

    The most famous and used by tourists is the RER B at a price of € 8.70 can reach the airport in just over half an hour (starting from the Gare du Nord). To take into account that the first train is at 05:00 and last until midnight and a half hours (at intervals of about 15 minutes), and that this is the most subject to delays, inconvenience, crowds for cancellations in case of strikes or events.

    Door to door shuttles from the airport of Beauvais-Tillé

    Despite a good service official shuttle of the 'airport of Beauvais-Tillé with the city of Paris (a similar service to Terravision), can sometimes be more convenient to choose an' alternative best suited to individual needs.
    It would be better to provide a service door to door than the shuttle official if:

    Béauvais-Tillé Airport

    If you decided to get her beloved city with a company "Low cost" then this will almost certainly be your airport of arrival. In fact, among the companies that we are calling Ryanair and Wizzair and many others (but do not connect Italy), except for Easyjet as ports of entry who chooses those of Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly.Landed in Beauvais you can stay a bit 'puzzled by the very small size of its Terminal (the gates can be counted on the fingers of two hands), but believe that this is only an advantage compared to a major airport like Charles de Gaulle, then do not panic!Here are many advantages:
    • Be just a few minutes from when the plane touches runway when the plane goes down (to Charles de Gaulle or Orly is in danger of losing half an hour just for this);
    • You must go straight off the plane just twenty meters to be in the room with the tape to wait for your luggage on board;
    • The terminal entrance welcomes you with a nice bed of green lawn ;-)
    • Luggage subitissimo receive them as the plane a few feet, and there is no need to seek guidance on where the tape that will take your as there are just a couple;
    • Be sure that you will not miss out of the airport! 10 meters and you outside the terminal.

      Arriving in Paris - Airports

      One of the most visited cities in the world, with tourists from all over the world, obviously not lacking in different ways to be reached.
      Now the most rapid and convenient and therefore has become the most commonly used air, and Paris has three international airports and intercontinental very close to the city. The most famous is that of
      Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) located 23 km north-east of Paris, the second is located at Orly (14 km south of Paris), the other is Le Bourget (famous for Show your Internazionaele Aviation, located on the outskirts of Paris in the north, but reserved only for a private air traffic and non-scheduled). A fourth airport is used by low-cost (including Ryanair and Wizzair) but is the most distant of all (always 80 km north of Paris) and is to Béauvais-Tillé (map).
      Each of these airports is very well connected to the center of the city by trains, shuttles, buses and taxis, as well as having each a wide range of car hire companies.
      But if you intend to arrive in the City of Love with your helicopter:-D you can choose the
      heliport of Paris, just a few meters to the south-west away from downtown Paris.
