The Foire du Trone

A Feast Forani millaenaria held every year in April and May on the lawn Reuilly (Pelouse de Reuilly).  This is located near the 12th arrondissement of Paris in the Park of Vincennes (Bois de Vincennes).

A bit of numbers that describe:
  • 957 AD the year of the first edition;
  • 2 months of year fun;
  • 5 million visitors a year;
  • 2 million and a half liters of beer consumed per year;
  • 90 tons of potato chips consumed per year;
  • 350 attractions;
  • 10 hectares available.
The origins of this religious festival is due to 'Abbot Saint-Antoine who began the sale of Sweet Honey and Spices (Pain d'Epic) giving rise to this fair in the Place du Trone (ancient name of the Place de la Nation) and along the Avenue du Trone, why the party is chiameta du Trone.

The park where the fair takes place is located southeast of Paris and to be able to reach by public transport esistonop 3 options ( SEE MAP ):
  • By subway, take line 8 direction Créteil and get off at station Porte Dorée and Porte de Charenton (slightly closer). Exit on Boulevard de Rue Joseph Poniatowski turn Chailley or Place du Cardinal Lavigerie, after a short climb we reach the main entrance of the Fair. For the return remember that the last bus is at 00:30 am, except Saturday at 01:30;
  • in line with the bus stop at Claude PC2 Decaen that stops halfway between the two Metro stations (times last race are similar to those of the Metro) line 87 Porte de Reuilly down the line, stop line 46 to Porte Dorée;
  • Free shuttle bus every Saturday, Sunday and holidays with departures to and from Place de la Nation and the Cour Saint-Emilion every 15 minutes (from 12:20 to 00:40).

The entry price? Free!
Only price you pay is to wait in line to enter during peak hours due to the Entrance of the checks by security staff: you'll be subjected to body search a slight (if you have one aspect that suspicion and the search minacciosoallora ASRA more depth) and bag, and ask if you may feel you are carrying knives:-S (it might be a little scared 'but it is better for the Gendarmerie to play the game of prudence, you will walk it together with families in groups of Gendarmes set from "War").

Obviously all the gain is based on the rides, attractions, food and games. If the cost of food is average compared to what is found in the tourist areas of Paris, the costs of the attractions are quite high compared to ours: ranging from a handful of attractions for the Euro "relaxing" to a fifteen Euro attractions for more "thrilling".
Then there are the typical games of fairs and festivities in which counts a player's skill: shooting with rifles and bows, shooting discs, rings and balls, etc., whose costs are around Euro a shot! Premiums, however, are at the same level of costs from mobile phone cameras to, from televisions to Minimoto.
For those who wants to be sure to win you can win with groped lottery: the cost of 5 € you have to choose a package within which you will find your premiums (again, the prizes range from the small Plush toy giant, to the Minimoto or iPhone to the lucky ones).

See video and photos for clues as to the rides, and just as an example, take a ride on:
2 Ferris Wheel (one of which is the largest mobile wheel of Europe), Tagada, launched by a bull rubber bands, a roller coaster, simulators, Roundwood, Rail Horror, Rocker that make you go over 90 km / h and many more!
From this year you can buy a pass with whom do you have access to 10 attractions, 8 (THE KING, THE BOOMERANG, THE INSIDER, THE INCAS THE EXTREME, FANTOME TRAIN THE TOP SPIN, AND THE ROCK ROLL) plus a reduction for the LIVE HORROR SHOW, two reductions of 15% for confectionery and drinks offered at the LA CHAUMIERE Menu for a Pass, 4 complimentary tickets (one bought a formula for free) to Toyland, La Pomme , PUPUCE, PODIUM.
The price of the Pass is € 27.90, but be careful because you have to buy it through Fnac, Carrefour, Géant, Système U, France Billet Ticketnet or because it is not sold directly to the box office of the Fair.
