The Cité Internationale Universitaire

The CIUP is a 'French association which provides accommodation to foreign students and researchers studying in the' Ile de France. It 's a perfect place then for those who come here in Paris, Erasmus, but you must register and apply for candidacy to get an accommodation here long before you leave.
A bit 'of numbers to better understand:
  • 5,600 beds;
  • 141 nationalities;
  • 200,000 students will be hosted in its 80 year history;
  • 34 acres for expansion;
  • 40 maisons (including 2 outside the Cité).
I can assure you that even if you are not students or researchers who seek a residence in Paris, this beautiful town is an ideal place to make a funny walk. The Cité Universitaire Intrenationale is in fact based within a large landscaped park, and as unique and special, every nation here has its foundation built his Maison with its typical architectural style.
A fun game for the visitors and then guess which countries belong to the various Maisons, easily distinguishable are those of Italy (of course ;-)), of Belgium, Canada, the United States, Britain, Japan and Morocco .
A visit here will immerse you in a typical American college.
This beautiful town is situated at the south of Paris ( see map here ) and there are 2 ways to get there:
  • RER B stop is just opposite the main entrance;
  • 3 stops of modern T3 Tram line along the northern border of the Cité.
